So I just got my nexus 5 from the google play store and I tried putting in the IMEI number into the test to see if my phone will work on koodo thingey and it said my phone would NOT work with the koodo network. ok... Did some research and was convinced that this was most likely a glitch with the system and the phone should work on the network because people here were saying it would work and I was looking at some posts about which wireless band's koodo uses and it looked like the bands matched the ones listed on the box. I decide to go onto my account and tell it that I am changing phones without changing sim cards (I would cut my current one to fit) and it asks for the ESN/MEID number. I put in that number and the system doesn't like that number either... what do I do?!?!?!

I have already opened the phone and I have it all set up and I have no reason to leave koodo. That being said, if I have to switch to another carrier because I can't get this phone to work then I might just do that.

I am going to have to go to a koodo store now to make sure this gets solved either way, I know that much for sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't have to register the IMEI # of the phone with your account. All you need is to make sure you have an active micro SIM, stick it in the phone, and you're good to go.

I had a full size Sim card. And trimmed it down with a template from the internet. If you are not confertable with that then I suggest you buy a micro Sim from a koodo store
