I've lost the data connection on my HTC OneV. Under settings, mobile network it says "disconnected because service is unavailable", but I can still place calls and wifi works fine. I had a similar problem with my last phone (same model), but this message is new. Restarting the phone doesn't fix it this time.

1. Settings=>More networks=>Mobile networks=> make sure Mobile data is checked.

2. In the same window, Network mode => LTE/WCDMA/GSM should be selected. You can toggle between the first 2 values and re-start your phone. Sometimes this will fix your problem.

3. double check APN settings:

Shut off phone, pull battery (if feasible), wait a few minutes and reboot.

Otherwise, take 2 aspirins and *611 in the morning...

That phone doesn't cover the full Koodo bandwidth. Fine on voice/text but 1900 3G missing on phone, may be the only deal available in your area. Would explain why previous phone had similar issues.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for all your help here!

Just to clarify, though. It seems that GSMarena's info is a little off here. Koodo once sold the One V so it should support both 3G bands 850/1900.

Thanks Bob, suggestion #2 seems to have done the trick, I'm back on line today.
