I have the Apple I Phone 4 or 5(can't remember which) and sometime last week all of my contact info seems to have been wiped out. All I have left are 14 contacts. Also, in calling history I have all the phone numbers but the name attached to the number has been wiped out(assuming it has something to do with the contacts all having been wiped out). Does anyone have any idea why this happened and how I get the contact info back?

If it's an iPhone 4 it is supposed to me smaller and iPhone 5 bigger and more rectangular.

For your problem, did you recently make a restore? Remove an account from the phone (hotmail, google mail, etc)? Did you change SIM cards?

Or maybe it is restoring right now and it takes time to load everything from icloud.

Also check
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Make sure you have signed into your icloud or gmail, etc where you originally saved your contacts.

If you saved your contacts just to the phone itself, then Settings>iCloud sign in and restore from backup

Or if you backed up via itunes just plug in tyour computer and restore from back up.

Thanks for the distinction between phones. I have the iPhone 4. I have done none of the things you suggested. I have cleared all apps in background running, did a software reset and nothing changed. I will call Koodo Support. Thanks for the help!

Koodo support will not be able to assist you with your problem. They could try, but my suggestions is that you should go to an Apple store (they will see the phone with you and may provide physical help). You'll get the most rapid answer there! Find the nearest one near you (https://www.apple.com/ca/retail/) and take an appointment!

Or go here : https://getsupport.apple.com/Getprodu...

Hi Matthew, we can indeed help for the first troubleshooting! If the issue is still not fixed, a customer would then have to check with Apple directly http://koo.do/WQ37a0. Thank you :)

Were you mirroring your contacts from anywhere? The iPhone can have contacts from a number of sources. For instance, some could be on your phone, and some associated with a Google, Yahoo or other email account or similar. Is it possible that you have disconnected one of the locations where contacts were stored by deleting, removing or disabling an account?

Do you have a backup of you phone either on iCloud or on your computer via iTunes?
