I dropped my phone & shattered the glass...it works, but there are some shards sticking out that makes it dangerous. :( I still have -$25 on my tab. what are my options? can they fix it or do I need to get a new phone? I really don't want to have to pay extra on my bill each month. (I got in on the $29/mo plan where Koodo contributes to my tab & it's not extra on my bill) Does anyone have any advice?

You can send it in to get a quote to get fixed, however they won't fiz it for free. Its physical damage, which isn't covered under warranty.

If the price to fix is too much, you can look at purchasing a new phone. However, your current plan won't qualify you for a tab anymore and wven if you get a tab, the tab is now evenly split into 24 months and applied to your bill. Koodo no longer gives you a true subsidy.

what do you mean I won't qualify for a tab? Can I still get a new phone? I only have $25 left on my tab. Will they allow me to get another phone if mine is damaged?

Yes you would qualify for a Tab, but Tabs have changed.
To keep your current plan you would need to pay off the $25 owing 1st.

Then you can add new Phone to your Tab and $360 will be added to the TAB that you will pay off over the next 24 months at $15 extra added to your plan.
Koodo no longer contributes to the Tab.
So $29 + $15/mo .  The $15 /mo drops off when you have made your 24 payments.

See our phones page at www.koodomobile.com/phones?INTCMP=KMNew_NavMenu_Shop_Phones
Some of the phones are $0 upfront,  some are more.

Thanks for the info! It was clear and easy to understand! My current phone is a Moto G the original. I would want something similar, more storage would be nice though. I was looking at the Moto G 3rd Gen...Is there any other you would recommend? I don't want to have to pay too much extra, but don't want a phone that's not as good as this one...

I upgraded from a Moto G 1st Gen as well,  a great phone and my son is still using it.

If you can handle the $15 /mo I would grab the Moto X Play. Great Camera and Battery Life.
Huge improvement over the Moto G 3rd Gen
I ended up getting the Alcatel Idol 3,  I would recomend it as well. Good Camera, Great speakers and Battery life.

You will love the 5.5 " screens of the Moto X Play or Idol 3 :)  sounds big, but very nice to use.

I second the Moto X Play but would steer clear of the Idol 3 personally. I have both and the Moto X Play performs better, has better battery life and a way better camera as well as feels much nicer in the hand with its thin edges and curved back it feels smaller than any other 5.5" device I've ever felt. Also after seeing Alcatel update history chances are it will never be updated past the version of Android it's on presently, so no Android 6.0 and above where the X Play should be updated to Android 6.0 soon which allows for the expandable storage to be used like internal Storage and with a quick insertion of a large SD card your 16gb phone can have up to 144gb (128gb+16gb) of storage (minus the OS) that's completely usable unlike anything running versions of Android below 6.0

I second the X Play over the Idol 3, apparently even thought the specs are identical, I have both too and Motorola put better components or tweaked the firmware better. I use mine all the time.
