Depends on what android phone you're looking to get. Also you'll get much more if you sell your old phone privately on Kijiji or Craigslist ect as the trade in values of devices are very low on devices.

For reference, BestBuy quotes $35 and Fido quotes $32 for the iPhone 5.
Definitely better to sell somewhere else like Paul mentioned.

Yes they have a trade in program but you can usually get 2-4 times the amount selling it private then the terrible amounts Koodo will give on trade in. I'd stay away from the trade in if possible..

Regardless of how you are going to dispose of the phone, good idea to get it unlocked now by Koodo. Use Twitter or Facebook to send Koodo a private message. It's much easier to sell a used phone if the buyer can actually use their own SIM to test it out.
