I recently upgraded my phone and I have a basic plan. I just received a bill for some $50.00 and I don't even use the Internet. I don't have voice mail. I think I'll pay off my tab and cancel my account next month. It's just too costly for the service.

If you are not really using what you're paying for, take a look at prepaid. $15 a month and the occasional booster recharge can go a long way for the casual user.

Thanks Bob.  I just changed to this Plan.  I'll see what I'm charged next billing.

What do you mean you don't have voicemail? All present plans come with voicemail included.
You said you just upgrade your phone which I'm guessing you got on a tab which means $15 is probably added to your bill each month to pay off that new phone. The basic plan is $25 plus the $15 for that new phone you bought which means your already at $40 a month plus taxes and if you use any data or minutes beyond the amount included in your plan then you have to pay for those. Not getting how the $50 a month is a surprise from when you signed up and got your new phone, can you explain what you are surprised about exactly?

Hi Paul,  I am very serious to advise that I do not have voice mail.  All I have are texting messgaes and receiving and sending phone calls.  I upgraded to a new phone in October or November when I paid off my tab and Koodo offered me a Smartphone so I took it.  It's just the basic plan which I have.  Well, it was $20.00 until I found out today that my bill came to just over $50.00.  I paid it and was shocked; hence, my statement to the Koodo Community here.  Bob told me to change my plan from $20.00 to $15.00 and I did that.  I never had to pay anything above my plan unless I over used the messages either sent or received.  I hope I am understood.

So, you upgrade your phone in October(or November).

Did you use the "Tab"?  What phone did you get?
Then you will get tab charge of $15/mo for next 24 months for your phone.  Koodo no longer contribute for your phone.

Also, you switch to a prepaid plan?
Did you get a prepaid sim and port/transfer your number to prepaid?
If so, you will receive your final bill includes remaining your tab next month.

When did you get your $20 plan? If its one of the original plan- like from 2008 - I remember that there was no VM, Call display included.

To do that, call into your voicemail by holding 1 on your dialer. Then enter the password, and it will be under personal options (I think it's option 4 from the main menu)

*dialer. I wouldn't recommend holding anything for your dealer.

Hello again, unfortunately, I'm electronically challenged.  I need help from a Koodo rep.  I must say I'm very pleased with the patience and outcome of these reps.  Thank you also for your input.   :-)

I've been with Koodo now for six years and I'm a loyal customer.  I'm extremely happy with the service.  I know that at the best of times, the problem lies with me but Koodo has many terrific reps.  I commend them.   Thanks, as always.   :-)
