Where does this Community see Mobile Malware and the future of Smart Device Viruses within the next few years? Such as potential code specifically designed to be persistent and aggressive with mobile devices, and measures taken to detect and correct these types of code.

That would be up to the manufactures of the phones. Hence the updates they regularly release. Cell phone companies have no control over this because they are only responsible for the network and to ensure your phone works on it. As for the phone goes anything outside of that would be the manufactures responsibility. Thats my 2 cents

There hasn't been any major security problems lately. But there are various anti-virus apps in the Android App Store, like Lookout or AVG antivirus that can detect any suspicious changes in your settings. Also, Apple has been very quick to release any updates regarding secuty issues.

I think the opportunity to approach these issues in the future will come to the Mobile Web App DEVS, and not solely on the OS developers.

Also, I realize this should have been posted as an Idea rather than a Question. My bad.

Actually shouldn't be posted in this community at all as it's a general mobile question & not wanted here according to Koodo. Stick to Koodo specific questions about their service or issues with the phones they sell that we /the community can help to get said device issue solved to get a person as device working. There are many other forums / communities across the Web for things such as this

Ok, well that's good info. Wont post non-koodo related questions again. Thanks for the advice.

Absolutely love your attitude FFS, some ppl I've tried to help guide or give little tips to posting here come back with a completely unnecessary attitude. It's great to see someone who can take advice & has a great attitude come here to try to help others :-)
