You should be able to use it BUT there will be charges. With no data roaming plan, it would be $5 per MB of use. If you choose it, you can get the $15 roaming data feature added to the account that gives you 40 MB of data to use

Is that 40 MB is enough for about 12 hours traveling ????

Probably not. You may want to download any maps of cities you are planning on visiting before you leave. It will take up space on your phone as GPS maps can take up to 500 mb per city(the size may change).

Yeah, GPS uses a fair bit of data because you are constantly moving. You might just turn it on when you need it to see where you are going then turn it off.

There are a couple of standalone GPS apps that require no data and work fairly well for basic navigational purposes.

Navfree: Free GPS Navigation Download the map data over Wi-Fi as the file size is roughly 500 MB. (I downloaded Canada only content. U.S. or North American content will be a larger download). Link below.

Sygic: GPS Navigation & Maps I bought the paid version, Sygic also offers a 7 day trial period. It stores TomTom map files onto your device and maps can be viewed in offline mode, consuming zero data. Link below.
