Got my new phone. Doesn't come with any instructions of how to activate it. My old phone is with Koodo and my new phone is with Koodo. The old phone sim card wont fit in the new phone. Called Koodo and they said there is nothing to do. But still cant use my new phone....shows only for emergency calls.

The SIM Card that came with the phone should be activated already, when you called did they look at your account and see the card is activated or did they just assume?

If it's not activated for some reason then you will need to call back or send Koodo a private message to their FB page or Twitter account but that will take a day +.

First try taking the SIM Card out and reseating it manybe it wasn't contacting the pins in the phone properly.

Thanks for your answer...I think my problem is a bit more complicated....lol.  I got my new phone and put in the sim card...it worked.  But they gave me a new number but told them i wanted to keep my old number.  I called Koodo and they cancelled my new number and said just to turn my phone off and then on and the old number will be transferred to my new phone....2 hours and still nothing.

When did your old sim stop working?

Old sim works in old phone...new sim doesn't work in new phone.  But they aren't interchangeable.

If the old sim works and the new sim had a new number, that means Koodo created a new line/account for you when you bought the phone.

it also means that since the new sim did work with the new line, that the new sim cannot be used on another other line.  I would check your Self serve to check if you got more than 1 line

Thanks...turns out the new sim is no good...since it was already used.  Koodo says I need to purchase a new sim card.
Thanks for your assistance.

Does your old sim card still work in your old phone?  If so then you need to contact Koodo to activate the new sim as per Paul above ^^
