Are you planning to support Google Wallet anytime soon? I already use this service and I like it

Support Google Wallet for what exactly? Like for bill payments or things such as that? Because from what I'm aware of, it's a Google service, and typically only used for other Google services (like the Play Store, and for a requirement for signing up for Google I/O)

Google Wallet is a mobile payment system developed by Google that allows its users to store debit cards, credit cards, loyalty cards, and gift cards among other things, as well as redeeming sales promotions on their mobile phone. Google Wallet uses near field communication(NFC) to make secure payments fast and convenient by simply tapping the phone on any PayPass-enabled terminal at checkout.

I'm pretty sure when I signed up for Google Wallet, there was a section for merchants to sign up, too

As far as I know Google Wallet is only available in the United States. There are ways of getting it in Canada, but requires a U.S. sim card or spoofing your sim card to look like a U.S. sim. It would be nice if I'm wrong because I have a Nexus S with NFC.

I'm not sure why Google only offers it in the USA, but I don't think it is Koodo that is holding it up.

The above applies only to the app for Android. There is a Google Wallet service which the app accesses. You can get the service in Canada to pay for things that use Google wallet (like the Google Play store and some conferences)

I've managed to install it on my Nexus S but it was a little tricky. Have you completed a purchase with it in Canada? Mine has never quite completed but I don't know if it requires data or something else.

Can anyone confirm that Google Wallet is working in Canada?

Also, is it safe to use Google Wallet, what do you guys think?

While I don't think it is supposed to work in Canada with NFC I have gotten it to activate at a payment but not complete. I notice it now wants me to update so I don't know if that is the problem. Google Wallet of course works but I'm assuming you mean the version that runs on your phone.

I don't know how safe it is as it involved side loading an app, which is not the safest activity. I gave it a very limited credit card which has since expired. I don't really want to give it the new expiry as I'm always a little suspicious of side loaded apps ...

It is as Safe as purchasing something online. What's really safe anymore anyway? Most credit cards you don't have to sign anymore... You're better off taking all your money and storing it in your walls ;-P.
