Google Play Store Problem

Hey I just got a G3 last week and these past couple of days I've been having so much issues with the Google Play Store. First I had a code error that didn't let me sign in. I backed up everything I wanted and did a factory reset. After setting up everything again the Play Store worked and I was able to download again. But 1 restart after; trying to go in the Play Store the screen is just a blank white screen.

I've tried those clear cache and data things but nothing has changed. Could it be a defective device or what? I can't be doing factory resets everytime I want to download or update an app?

Any solutions and suggestions would be great!

Hi CY26,

Have you tried verifying if there was an update for the phone that is available? Sometimes the play store does act up, but it is odd that even after a system restore its doing that.

The phone is at the latest software that is downloadable...but yeah it's weird that after the reboot the store worked normally (on first use) but afterwards the problems starting occurring again.

I found that when I put restrictions on all Google services and the Google Play Store itself things with start to lock up. (@ the Mobile Data settings)

What I did to make sure the problem didn't occur again:

- make sure the boxes aren't checked (so make them not restricted in Mobile Data Settings)
- Have auto updates for apps at least on wifi only (Google Play Store settings)
- Restart phone

If it doesn't work factory reset and make sure those options are place when the phone is set up again.

Not saying this is the official way to fix this problem but when I did this the problem never came back again unless I restricted those settings. Feel free to try the steps b4 the factory reset.
