Google Pixel Phone Replacement, Hardware Issue

I have the google pixel 1. The phone itself has gone glitched, If any of you has gotten the headphone jack mic bug on the pixel, you know the phone doesn't record audio, video or anything anymore.

I want to know if I have to mail the phone back to Koodo, or I can go to a Koodo store near me for a replacement, I tried going to a Booth in a mall but they don't do that.

The phone isn't 1 year old yet.

My other option is to return the phone to google by mail and use the phone warranty that it comes with on google.

I use this phone for work and I don't have a replacement. I don't want to wait 2 weeks for a phone to be replaced.

I've also looked up this phone issue online; it seems very common when you plug in a headphone jack onto the pixel; overtime it completely screws the phone regardless of factory reset.

A kiosk wouldn't take a warranty repair? That makes no sense. Is there another location can go to?

Google might replace it with a new one. I've been told that they're doing that fairly often with glitches like that. I'd probably go with that.

Unfortunately loaner phones aren't common anymore but the odd one might be available at a koodo kiosk. You'll have to wait as long as it takes unfortunately. You'll need to buy a cheap phone or borrow one temporarily if you can't get a loaner.

hi Moses,
Have you also tried to contact Google about it yet? Although you recognized it was a hardware issue, but they need to run some some test to qualify for a replacement. Direct exchange with Google might be the fastest way.

If you contact Koodo for warranty you would have to follow their process: https://www.koodomobile.com/help/warranty-and-repair-policy

I have contacted the support for google, They told me I should go to the Koodo department store, If declined to replace at the store; I provide them the google pixel papers they told me to print and show to the store; i'm not sure If that even works at koodo does it?

Did you buy the phone from Koodo? What did the "google pixel paper" say?, did it say the phone was malfunctioned and  qualified for a replacement or it was just a warranty terms and conditions?

Koodo has warranty policy to follow, you could ask the store to follow the procedure.
