Google pixel 2 mic problem

My husband bought a google pixel 2 a little more than a month ago and there’s an issue with the mic. No one can hardly hear him. Koodo is basically telling him there’s nothing that they can do about it and he’s on his own. This is ridiculous.

Well I'm all honesty there isn't much Koodo can do to help. You'll have to contact Google for any warranty claims or repairs.

Before that though have you tried restarting your device or giving it a factory reset?

Try giving a nice hard blow into the mic hole to see if any dust has collected there.
Also make sure your running the most recent version of Android available for the Pixel 2 as there's been a few updates to fix little bugs with some early issues.

Wait guys.  Doesnt Koodo help process warranty repairs for Koodo purchased phones?  Unless Tricia is saying that the phone was not bought through Google?  I reread multiple times and I dont see that mentioned, so I think Koodo should be able to help you Tricia

We thought Koodo would help us. The guy told us that if we would have got it through Telus they would have sent it away for him and even given him a loner phone. But Koodo won’t do anything.

@Allan: A store that had a rep "didn't understand why Koodo wouldn't help" is definitely not a Koodo store.

If it wasn’t a Koodo store, we wouldn’t have gone there. And as said above, we did call Koodo, who said the store should be able to help us.

@Azure
Or is just a rep who doesn't know what they're talking about unfortunately.

@Tricia
Open Settings on your phone.
Scroll to the bottom and tap “Support & tips.”
Follow the instructions to contact Google about fixing your phone.

@Tricia:
Can you leave the address of the store here? if it was a Koodo store rep who refused to help a valid case, then Koodo need to notify him/her to make sure it won't happen to other customers.
