When and why did Koodo get rid of the Note 4? Couldn't have been more than 4 weeks ago that I was looking at it online, saved up the money for it, and now that I'm ready it has just disappeared? What gives?

If koodo got rid of it from their lineup, you can still try the local stores as they may still have inventory

Samsung stopped making the note so in turn Koodo can't receive any.

but if you look online you'll see they have many great phones to choose from!

Either didn't sell too much (Canadians tend to b used to large subsidies and the sticker shock might have been too much) or it was cleared out for the note 5 or even upcoming 6. If there aren't any local stores, you can at least use the money save up to get it from eBay or kijiji.

Saw the Note 5 at a kiosk a week ago, maybe 2, and also called the Samsung store at Christmas looking for an unlocked Note 5. Samsung would only sell the 5 with a 2yr contract with the usual 'suspects'. I know you were keen on a 4 but as per above and also lawsuit settlement does not allow Samsung to sell certain models any more.

As part of a court settlement with Apple, Samsung agreed to stop selling certain mostly-older Note  and Galaxy models. They may have decided to wear both belt and suspenders and stopped marketing anything in those series that was close to end-of-life.

Stopped by a kiosk yesterday about Notes and was told no longer available. Also was told I was mistaken about the 5. Apologies if I gave you false hopes.
