Well you're in luck! Koodo has such add-ons for use:
30 fo 3 days and 150MB
40 for 10 days and 250MB
75 for 30 days and 750MB
Each has unlimited talk and text. Talk includes to from and in US and Canada. Texts remain international.

If you want to have one of those roaming add-on, you can pick it depends on how much data you need.
ex) If you go there for 5 days, but you need 500MB data at least. Then you can pick $75/30days package. > you can use up to 750 MB within 30days.

Or, you can unlock your phone and use local sim (you will get a new number) to get better rate if you need more data.

Longer term, much cheaper to go with a local plan, especially for data. Getting a "burner" phone cheaper than unlocking your current handset and monkeying around with your SIM.
