There's always the possibility of bringing an unlocked one!

What you should do is unlock and sell your Q5 via ebay or kijiji
Save some cash before you sell and use the proceeds to buy an unlocked Q10 from eBay or kijjji as well

I hear you about getting the phone you want but unfortunately Q10 sales must've been dismal, they didn't carry it long.

It's odd that they pulled the device so quickly. What did it get, maybe 3-4 months?

Meanwhile, Koodo continues to sell the extremely outdated LG-A341 and Blackberry Curve 9320. I can't see their being is a substantial demand for these devices either. I could be wrong though..

Everyone is dropping the Q10. Fido discontinued them a week ago, and Koodo literally follows everything they do. Wind is discounting them to get rid of inventory as well.

Actually Koodo stopped selling it shortly after it was released. So if fido just stopped I would say that unfortunately Koodo once again led the pack.

The lg is there for those who either don't want, or are scares of, smartphones

And Imo, both the Z10 and Q10 are over priced

I agree the price is potentially off-putting for many. Koodo knew the price when they launched it though...

At the time, it was the only BB10 QWERTY device. I never expected them to continue to offer the Q10 once a lower-cost option was made available. Same reason why I don't see Koodo getting the Z30. Sure, it has better hardware but it's a lot more expensive (not that the Q5/Z10 are particularly cheap) and the software experience is pretty much the same.

The Q10 was RMA'd months ago. However, some stores (Mobile Shop anyway) may still have some floating around because theirs was ineligible to he returned to our warehouse due to being previously activated or a damaged box.

Whereabouts do you live? Find your nearest Mobile Shop located in Loblaws, Maxi, Zehrs, Superstore, etc. And ask them to check if any stores still have a Q10 for Koodo.
