Getting new phone and upgrading plan to data.

I have a phone and a talk/text plan. Changing phone and plan to get data. 10 days until new phone comes. Koodo wants me to pay the month now. Does my month start when i receive the phone or now, on my old phone?

I am not really sure you’d have to ask them but from my experience with phone companies that it’d start now on your old phone....

So best to get the new phone first and then after it arrives change the plan....though that's probably not even an option.

You can only change plans once per billing cycle. When buying a phone it also asks you to pick a plan. So if you want to change plans after the phone arrives there will be a waiting period before you can change plans again.

Your billing cycle will properly stay the same. When you change to a different plan, each plan will be prorated depending on days you used/ended.
