getting many calls from Somalia

I have had my phone number for years prior to going to koodo last year.  All of a sudden in the past week I have had several calls from Somalia (one trying to disguise as being from Canada but the phone number is the same as the others (except for the last 2 numbers).

How can I stop this?  Each call (been 5-6 calls so far) has a different last 2 numbers ending the phone number.

hi Jody,
I would just block them and don't call back.
It is a scam globally

I don't think koodo can really do anything at least not to my knowledge. Same thing was happening to me too. I just installed an app called mr.number and manually added certain area codes to block.

I wasn't sure if koodo has a limit on how many numbers you can block (I have a shaw landline and they have a limit of 30 I think).

Thanks for the link and thank you for the app suggestion!  Greatly appreciated.

I just got called as well, good to know that it's a global scam. I think you can block phone number in your phone as well.

I've been getting this too starting yesterday. I block the numbers but they keep calling back with a slightly different number. I turned on do not disturb and that's been making it more tolerable. Other than that have to just hope it stops soon.

I took D_Chen's advice and got the mr number app.  You can block by person, by area code, by country, etc.  I have not gotten a call from Somalia since I installed it.  It blocks known scam numbers!

Same here. Luckily, you can easily block them on the iPhone without installing anything extra. But I’m not sure about Android.
