Ummmm.....the article also states the offer which is $5 off for 12 months any plan. Which plan from PC do you have Bob? I don't think the plan prices were "substantially" different to begin with.

Are you talking about the tab charge?

No I expected to pay tab charge and remainder of price. I was told that I had to get a Koodo plan plus the Tab

My PC plan was $50 for 4gb and unlimited national call and text

This sounds like a promo plan and not a regular PC plan.  It is kind of an unfair comparison.
In your case, you are better off buying a phone on your own and not via carrier

There is a special promo of $5 off for 12 months as I mentioned above. It is for PC customers. Hence the $60 savings.

The plan is $50 right now OP could have it for $45 for 12 months.

You would "consider" switching if they offered you 10Gb for $50? When everyone offered 10GB for $60 at the end of last year the offer lasted about 10 days and people would love to see that plan back. Not asking for much to consider are you lol.

I think I’m being quite reasonable... I’d prefer unlimited data but that seems a little more unlikely than 10Gb these days. As for that $60 plan last year, at the time I simply wasn’t in the market but times change. :)

@cudtz: you could be as "reasonable" as you would like... good luck..

Bonus 3 GB data add-on for 24 months! Offer ends July 3rd.

PC Mobile’s equivalent plan was $50 at least the equivalent promo plan that was offered at The Mobile Shop not online.
So if the $5 savings are based on this plan with equivalent features like unlimited nationwide talk and text, not just 500 min then that $60 in savings = $0 as the $ is already being saved and it would be more accurate to say that Koodo is offering a “matched price” but only for 12 months and then it will go up by at least $5/month.  That’s just what it looks like to me.

On the other hand if the $5 in savings was based on the better priced PC Mobile deal then

$45 for 4Gb Data, Unlimited Nationwide Minutes and Text wouldn’t be bad but I still think Koodo could do better and from the sounds of that’s entirely possibly in the future.
