Get rid of message that says no subscriber when we don't have voicemail. People call, think # is unassigned & never call back.

I think it is incredibly bad customer service on the part of phone companies like Koodo, and TELUS to Not have a message that lets people know they have called a live phone that does not have voice mail.

How it is people call once here that Number not assigned message, and never call back.
They do this so that we are urged to pay way too much a month for voicemail because there is no forwarding anymore.
Something should have been done about this years ago.

They did, Voicemail is included in every plan. If to u don't want to use it simply set it up then record and extended absence greeting and turn off message reception. And there is forwarding if you want to pay for it (since it's not included) it's 3$ per month, astronomical to be sure.

Not every plan has voice mail. Sure the new ones do, but I pay less than you and have unlimited texting. For those of us without voice mail who don't want to pay an extra 7$ a month the system should have a default message to say caller unavailable, not number not in service like messages.

Voicemail easy to set up.

Monthly plans:

Prepaid:

Call forwarding:
http://help.koodomobile.com/plans-add...

However, AFAIK, there is no call forwarding on prepaid if that's the service you're on.

I do not have prepaid or want to add another service. I am not going to pay more for a feature that should just exist but doesn't. Please I am not looking for a band-aid I want the message to reflect that I am an active number for many years now, even if I miss a call.

Please no more trying to prove me wrong. My request is valid,

No one is trying to prove you wrong, any more than we can know all the ins and outs of unspecified plans that have not been offered for a long time, or any hypothetical improvements anyone might want to make.

All that being said, unanswered callers getting any message other than caller not available is clearly wrong.

Hey Bob. Yeah, but I was very clear in my first message The first guy gave me information based on his lack of knowledge of other possible plans, then you tried to up-sell me.

Though I was wrong in thinking there is no call forwarding, It is just not advertised as a feature that I have seen for a while.

No offence meant, but that is what happened. I asked Koodo through Facebook to fix this, and they said the fastest way to get it fixed was to post the problem here. I think that is wrong so I am sorry to waste your time.

Neither Bob nor myself work for Koodo. We're customers just like you and we're trying to help you get what you want.

But you can not help me that is the point. This is silly. It's like I am standing outside a koodo asking passers by to help. I want Koodo to fix the issue that is with Telus' system. I don't need clarification. I just need to get this fixed.
So thank you for your time, but please if you want to help then just click that you like the idea. There is nothing more that you can do.

For people not working there you are sure do push service I don't need or want for them quite well.

Telus is unlikely to modify their entire phone systen for the sake of the small percentage of customers on grandfathered plans without voicemail, a percentage that grows smaller every day, since all new plans have included voicemail for close to three years now.

Doesn't it usually say "The person you are trying to reach is unavailable, please try again later"? I don't get why it says" no subscriber". Maybe it's just the age of the plan?

Doesn't anyone read the tags?

OP is not happy with original Jurassic plan with no VM, doesn't bother reporting this till after a few supposedly helpful people, have replied, then wants to add features to VM that he insists he doesn't want or need to pay for and hammers down on anyone trying to help him.

Next step, maybe googling when the next Telus board meeting is so that he can instruct them, without owning any shares.

Customers on new plans who have not set up voicemail do not, in fact, get a message saying number not in service, callers hear "your call has been redirected to koodo's voicemail system. xxx-xxx-xxxx is not available. Please leave a message at the beep."

This site need a moderator to keep you people off my back. I do not have one of your every day posts, so your normal babble will not help me. No reason that should offend you. You don't know everything, and neither do I. I just know you are not helping me.

Last one, and I am unfollowing (which mean I will never be contacted if someone out there could actually help me so thanks again)

People have not all been civil, most have just been posting to say they don't understand, or have that problem. Nothing civil about talking down about me to other commentators in the comments either.

Last time I ever ask for help this way.

And Good bye to you all too.
