get credit for my tab

I would like to pay off my phone quicker and get a credit  for my tab. How do I ask Koodo to, say, knock off the last six months of my phone payment?
Like charge me for 18 months instead of 24? I know some companies do that.

The Tab is a free loan so there is no benefit to paying it off sooner, unless you want to change your plan to a no-tab plan.  You can choose to pay off your tab all at once.  Just save your money until you have enough and then pay it off.  There is no way to make tab payment contributions or to increase your tab payment amount.  Koodo's payment system is not that sophisticated.

I didn't ask that. I am simply asking as a Koodo customer for them to give me a break or credit on a few months and reduce my bill

On what basis are you asking this? Have you been a good client? I doubt that some Koodo will give you this out of the bloom.

I THINK I have been a good client. But like I said, usually companies only react when they see you can leave them and they wish to retain you.

Yeah, not an approach we are a big fan of. But I can't blame you since this is mostly an outcome of the telcos/cablecos own doing where "retention" became more important than "loyalty" a few years ago. And some are paying the price for that now.

Look at that.  A company that gives you their best prices similar to the customers that call in looking for a deal.  Thats the loyalty Im looking for

We often make special personalized offers available to upgrade to new phones based many attributes a customer might have. I would suggest to log into your account and see if there is an offer currently available. They may not tab pay-off offers all the time sometime is it's bill credits as well for a period of time.

Im sure Koodo is not interested in the business of someone who wants free credits for...... being a good customer and going above and beyond to pay their bill on.... time.  I think I just qualified for a freebie too :)

If I dont get an equivalent freebie that OP is getting then I am threatening to leave too

Ahhhh.....I see what the OP means now...after the clarification.

@former Quebecer,  Dennis is right if the sole interest is seeking credit that's not something we condone as it would be unfair to everyone else who enjoys the service we provide and not asking for a credit. The vast majority of our customers indeed. The offers I mentioned are available and vary based of customer spend, length of tenure etc.

We are indeed predominantly a self serve brand that is why we created alternatives to the traditional phone support. And most seems to prefer it because of the time day save. I hope this help provide some context.

It has. Changes y mind not at all but I will say that as long as I have not found the exact same plan elsewhere, I will stay with Koodo. If you interpret that as being a "loyal" customer,  feel free to do so.

Yes that kind of is a Loyal customer, staying with koodo even though the grass is the same colour with the neighbour

Well they've done nothing to ensure my loyalty and after my phone is paid off I'll happily switch, to any company other than public Mobile
