Hi there, my Nexus S is having a couple of problems right now... I have to get a new phone this week or next week at the latest cause I can't charge the battery anymore. the USB charging slot is faulty.
My question is: should I get the Galaxy S2X right now, or wait 'til the Galaxy S3 price drops? I don't wanna pay 500$ for a phone... Is there any chance of seeing these 2 phones' price drop anytime soon? with the Galaxy S4 coming out I'd assume it should be the case, but I don't know if I can wait...

I definitly can't wait much longer, so if the S3 isn't about to get his price dropped, I may have to go with the S2X...

The S II X is even better with the 4.1 update... the interface looks nearly identical to the S III minus some special motion gestures and a slightly better camera sensor (resolution is the same, though) so quite honestly I would go with that one.

Price drops can happen anytime and are usually without warning... so keep your eyes peeled. Keep in mind most retailers will also honor price drops within 14 days of activation (at least Mobile Shop will).

Hello Bob,

The way its looking right now is that the S3 won't go down in price because it is already at the cheapest price. Virgin Mobile just dropped their pricing from 650 to 550 (same pricing as Koodo) a few days ago. So it is unlikely that Koodo would drop the price of the S3 even lower than it is.

I highly recommend the SIIX, it has just been upgraded to Jellybean 4.1.1 and it looks and feels like the S3. Hope it helps :)
