Galaxy S7 Screen/Camera

Hello Guys, I Bought an other box case for my s7 with the purchase of my phone on the tab a few weeks ago but took it out bc it's too heavy and bulky so I have it without it... but... I also dislike the plastic screen protector... I was gonna buy a glass screen protector but the employee denied and said that it won't work because the s7 has a curved screen... tho I thought only the edge had a curved screen...

Anyways.

Will the screen scratch without the screen protector? Also how good is the camera glass... or plastic... Will it scratch if I put it screen looking up? And one more thing... sometimes in the dark or when in light... the camera always seems grainy... is that normal or a defective device?

Thanks in advanced!

The screen will scratch without a protector. Gorilla Glass is excellent and resists deep scratching, but it can still get minor surface scratches (and it does, I had the S7 Edge). The same goes for the camera glass.

As for the camera, I can't comment on whether yours is normal without seeing some samples.

You can definitely purchase glass screen protectors for the S7. Here is a list of the "top 8" according to this website: https://www.gottabemobile.com/8-best-galaxy-s7-screen-protectors/?gbmsl=1
Even with the S7 Edge, S8, and S8+ you can buy curved glass screen protectors.

The phone has Gorilla Glass 4 is pretty scratch resistant but still can get scratches. From my experience, if you are gentle with your phone, your fine. If your a little more rough, or just want to protect your phone, there are plenty of cheap options available.

I have never experienced or know anyone who has had a problem with scratches on their camera glass. If you are worried, I would suggest a case that extends far enough away from the camera such that it doesn't touch a surface when you put it down.

With the camera looking grainy, most do in low light situations. If the pictures look fine outdoors in the sunlight than chances are your camera is fine.

Hey Franco,

Although, the S7 is not as curved as the S7 edge. It does have a curve, when you install a glass screen protector, there will be a gap on the sides. Koodo Shop sells another protector called Puregear. It is gel and will adhere to the sides of the phone. Koodo Shop also have other cases you can get that is thinner and weighs less, as long as you are within the 15 day exchange, you can bring back your accessories with the box and the receipt.

I actually believe that accessories are not eligible for returns or refunds unless they're defective.

After a little reading I've seen that it is purely store dependant but Koodo does state on their website:
