My galaxy 5 has a crack in the screen, under the first layer of glass. The phone is on and the bottom buttons still light up but the screen is all black. I was wondering if Koodo could fix it, would it be cheaper and more reliable to get it fixed through them rather than a stand in my local mall? Would my one year warranty cover it?

Unfortunately, the cracked screen is considered physical damage and is not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Compare prices, it may be cheaper to go with the repair stand in the mall provided they use OEM parts. Koodo will send the device off to Samsung, so there's peace of mind in knowing that they won't use aftermarket parts for the repair.

If you send it in for repair, the quote will probably be around $250.
