Id like to move from Telus to a Koodo prepaid plan, keeping phone number. My phone is dual Sim so can I just buy a koodo Sim, activate it online, insert it along side my current telus Sim and it should seamlessly take over when the number is ported?

Hi Peter,

Yes, you can certainly keep your Telus number. However, it works a bit different than the method you just described - a dual SIM phone has nothing to do with it :)

What you need to do is buy a Koodo prepaid SIM, and activate that online. You can port in your Telus number right then, or even later if you wish. You will need your Telus account information to port.

After that your Telus SIM will be deactivated and you can throw it away. Only your Koodo account will be active then.

In other words, all you need to insert in your phone is your new Koodo SIM :)
