So I currently have an iphone 4s (which hardly works now, not the phones fault, it has EXTREME damage, wear and tear from being at the barn with horses.) and I am also currently with Bell, which seems to keep throwing in all these charges and ripping me off with my data. I am paying on average 175$ a month. I want to get a phone with koodo without paying an arm and a leg upfront. Is this possible? To get a 0$ phone on a plan would be great too!!! Thanks!!!

Koodo will run a credit check on you when you sign up for the postpaid(monthly) plan. Then you can use a Tab to purchase a phone.
What phone do you have in your mind?
You can check phone price here

Also if you want to keep your current phone number, do not cancel your service with Bell. Request Koodo rep to port your number when you open your account.

You can contact Bell and they will add a flag to your account that you have authorized porting. This also acts as 30 days notice, which they will screw you for if you don't provide it.

The good news is that the 30 days notice BS is going to be coming to an end for all carriers in 2015. (if you contract is more recent, then this should apply to you already). By June 3, 2015, the Wireless Code of Conduct will be in full force for ALL subscribers.
