Friend gave me his old iphone because he switched carriers and got a new one, what do i have to do, to set up a plan with koodo?

Using my friends old one still locked to koodo can I just take it to the store and set up an immediate plan that day?

You'd have to have the phone unlocked first, once that's done koodo will give you 10% off every month on any plan you pick with them for bringing your own phone. That can be done at the store.

You sure can! Since it's a Koodo-locked phone, you def can! No problems at all you shall have.

You need to make sure that your friend doesn't have any outstanding balance with Koodo, such as an outstanding tab or the final bill owing, otherwise Koodo can lock the phone out until final payment is made.

Once that is taken care of, ask your friend to call in and have the IMEI transferred from their account to yours, so you have control and nobody (your friend or Koodo) can't have it added to the blacklist.
