I'm a Koodo customer, and I use plans that offers unlimited SMSs.
I'm a researcher and I want to use my Koodo SMS service in some of my experiments,so my question is:
would there be any kind of problem or penalty or service blocking if I used my Koodo's SIM card to send SMSs at a high rate (lets say 1 SMS every 10 Seconds for 30 minutes) ?

I don't believe so. There are people that have thousands of texts a month and they don't get stopped. I say, go ahead. As a tech, I see no harm in this.

I have yet to encounter any complications with doing so. When I send texts out, I sometimes fire them off like crazy. I work in tech support and I have not seen any negative side for doing what you are wanting to do.

Sending bulk messages to, say, 50 or 60 recipients at once may get you flagged for spamming though. Sending individual messages should be safe enough.
