Free hours of data??

I would love to see Koodo offering something similar to what Fido is offering in term of free hours of data. It's a pretty nice perk that I'm sure some people would love to have on their plan.

I know you guys have shock free data that Fido doesn't, but that's not a reason to improve the service isn't it?

The reason I'm suggesting this is because if you look at the plans, you have 1GB, 2GB and then 6GB... There's absolutely no in-between. The free hours of data could be a thing to compensate for this "no in between thing"

Not really a fan as this seems to heavily favour bursts of large data usage which is basics Ly video streaming or uploading large amounts of files. But I can see it being popular still.

Once the infrastructure is set up, data doesn't cost more to give out. So what would be the downside according to you, Goran?

Only "pulse plan" had 5 hours of free data. Normally the pulse plan is more expensive than the "normal". Koodo could increase the price, and give out 5 hours of free data to match Fido.

All the plus plans have the same price @Koodo and Fido. So I don't see why Koodo would need to increase its price.

Pulse plans prices are not higher then those offered by Koodo... so for the same price, we Koodo customers, get less.

@Robert: Which province are you in? I don't see the same prices in BC

In BC, the pulse plan starts at 65 for 4GB (1+3GB) of data. The normal Fido plans (no 5hours/, no spotify) is somewhat comparable with Koodo.

It's hard to compare with all the promos going on but take the 10GB plan. $115 from both carriers.
The 4GB promo from both are both priced at $65 as well.

I see what you mean Azure. Only higher prices plans have 5 hours of data offer. But what I say is still true in QC. They are priced the same but offer Spotify (10$/month for 6 months = 60$) and free data.

Koodo? Shock free data (yay). I don't think at 6GB or 8GB going over their limit is what they see as an added value.

I totally get that once the operating costs are covered, more data is measured in cents per GB, but as Azure said, the monthly cost is higher for those and I just don't see it as a real bonus, but I can see people liking it. I guess that it's better than nothing.
