I have this phone, here. > http://www.kyoex.com/docomo-fujitsu-f... And it is switched to english, and I was wondering if I would be able to set it up with koodo? It uses a micro SD like the card for the iphones. Would i be able to switch it to koodo?

Full network coverage cannot be guaranteed with that phone.

For example, a few years ago I bought a Nokia E72 that the seller claimed was originally locked to Telus (I was with Bell). I put in my Bell SIM and it eventually registered on the network (it took much longer than other phones). I noticed that I would infrequently lose signal in areas that I've had coverage in before. I checked the model of the phone and it turned out that the seller lied to me. I bought an international version of the E72, which was missing the 850 band. Overall, I had decent coverage running on 1900 only. She has the 850 only. Both bands may be used together in urban areas - I don't know.
I'm trying to save her a similar headache.
