I need more information about the protection plan. My phone won't turn on.

I shut down my cell phone and the screen is black, I have the protection plan but I think they told me that I have to activate it and I do not know where. thanks for answers

I already called that number and they told me that my name does not appear that I have to call koodo and it is strange because they charge me the service
