I updated my HTC one m8 to marshmallow yesterday, so far I am having two issues.
1. The phone can't stay in silent or vibrate mode. When I have the phone in silent or vibrate mode, an incoming call will cancel the silent or vibrate mode and revert to normal mode.
2. The battery drains much faster. Before the update, I was getting 6 hours of screen time. Today the battery is down to 50% after two hours of screen on time.

First make sure your not set to priority do not disturb and it allowing your contacts to come through at all times.
Second perform a factory reset with a full battery while plugged in as some apps may not have been optimized properly when updating. A factory reset usually helps rectify this issue.

The problem is not allowing calls coming through, but an incoming call triggers the phone to cancel out silent/vibrate mode and put phone in normal mode.
I will try a factory reset, thanks.

I'm pretty sure I have nailed it down to a call blocking app that's causing the phone to revert to normal mode from silent/vibrate mode. Will report about battery life in a couple days.
