Final bill

I ported my number on 15 Dec 2017 from koodo to bell. my billing cycle ends on 10 th of every month and advance bill got generated on 11th of every month.
So i got bill on 11 Dec where as i ported my number on 15 Dec, so i want to know do i need to pay for whole month, even for not using there service or for those 5 days when i used there service.
If they will send me any final bill, last date of paying my bill is 8 jan 2018, should i wait for final bill or pay they full amount and they will refund me my balance.
Plz clarify if any body knows

On the final bill you will see the refunded charges for the days you didn't use.
Yeah, that is not going to happen. If he had ported to Koodo Prepaid, TELUS, or Public Mobile his owing balance would be reduced instantly. When you port to any other provider, you are not going to get a refund without talking to a rep at Koodo. The Wireless Code came into effect in 2013, yet for some reason Koodo/TELUS still get away with this.

I read it as he used 25 days and would be refunded for 5 and still have to pay for the other 20.
Since its the other way around he should have a credit on the account balance and yea, will have to contact Koodo to get that money.

The date you ported is the cancellation date, carriers only allow to charge you days that you are using their services.

I would suggest you pay the prorated charge of your monthly service (5days) now. When you see the bill later next month, if you see any other charges, you could call Koodo and dispute.

Any exact time frame ( number of days) the koodo will send final bill, if I don’t pay the bill i got on 11 dec, may be i will get late fees or that put wrong effect on my credit.

The final bill is likely sent to you at the end of the billing cycle. They won't report the amount to the credit agency that quick, it takes 1,2 months of late payment, and several reminder calls. They charge you the whole month ahead, btw.
