False data usage

I've received two text messages today saying I've reached 90%and the. 100% of my data for my billing cycle. However, I've been at home on my wifi since 130pm and haven't used ANY data and still received these texts. I checked my online billing and it says my data usage is just over 50%...but now my data is shut off?
I even have my settings set up so my phone doesn't use data when connected to wifi, so I don't understand how this happened while on wifi iMessaging? Is something not working properly?

Let me look into this Nat! If you look at your usage circles online you should see that you only used up about 41% of your monthly allotment. I think the text is erroneous, considering that it states you have used up all 100Mb of yours. You have 6gb. You are not blocked though as far as I can tell. I will likely not have the answer tonight but will get back here as soon as I do.

Hi Bernard,
Thanks for looking into this, I noticed that about the mb as well, kinda creepy that you knew that without me saying it in my question above. On my profile in Koodo it did say my data was shut off, and still does actually. Please see attached photo

Sometimes there is enough info that allows us to to connect the dots and be more helpful Nat. I still don't have an answer, but working on it.

Got word Nat that a handful of customers were sent erroneous notifications. You can safely ignore and there will be no impact on your bill because of this.
