Why are wait times so long?  It's not sufficient to blame "heavier than usual call volume."  When this excuse is used once every few weeks, it can be plausible.  When it's used frequently, it's a sign that a corporation doesn't value its customers enough to hire a reasonable number of support staff.   I waited almost 90 minutes today to correct a billing issue.  Unacceptable.

Hi Nolan,

Koodo now sees itself as a "self-serve brand" and envision that most of their customers are going to be able to resolve most issues themselves through self-serve. However, in your case it was not possible to solve it yourself, perhaps most people in the queue would of been able to. In the future, you can also contact Koodo via Facebook messages for assistance instead of waiting on hold.

Sorry to interject, but "just contact Koodo via Facebook" is a common answer I see here, in response to various posts. I don't use Facebook and do not want an account; so was wondering if I needed to contact them on Facebook is it straight forward. Search for "Facebook" then on Facebook search for Koodo & then you can chat or type away?

Thanks

Yes, you go to the Koodo page on facebook and there is a "message" button that allows you to type away with Koodo. You do need an account though.

Do you mean a Facebook Account? I have a Koodo Account. Looks like the "f" @ bottom of page here takes me directly to the Koodo page you decribed.

You will need a facebook account in order to message and post.  You could always create a dummy account and then delete it afterwards

The reason for the long wait times is indeed heavier than usual call volume.  Koodo is getting more and more popular with people, so these increasing numbers of new customers are calling into Koodo to say how much they love the service.  That ties up the lines and means you have to wait a few extra minutes.  You should be happy to be on such a popular carrier.

Hope that helps!

This is also the season when those Christmas gifts that landed in the hands of newbies are being tried out. It's easier to call in than to read the manual or research whether their questions have been answered elsewhere for most people.

You're clearly not following the saga of Donald Trump then.
