Extra Billing Charge for No Reason

Hello, I was charged $5.00 for 0.0 MB US Usage of Data.. How does this make any sense? Data Was turned off prior to crossing the border. I would like this resolved. Thank you!

Which phone are you using? and are you sure it was the data? It could be the texting.

To dispute with the billing, you need to contact Koodo directly. (call 611 or send message to their facebook).

What does your PDF invoice, downloaded from self-serve state?
If you were in the USA, it is possible there was a small amount of data leakage, as the foreign carrier connected to your phone. If so, Koodo has refunded such overage in the past.

Thanks everyone! That's super helpful did show as data US but 0 mb so I will contact Koodo and see what they say.

Same happened to me last Xmas, contact client care and they will refund you. 0 MB for 5$ it's a system error that occur whenever you're roaming because the foreign network needed to "ping" your original provider.

They will credit you back since it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

When showing 0 Mb it means it could be just a few KB, not enough to complete a full Mb...

Important also to say that once close to the border, your phone could connect to a US tower...

For sure, this small amount seems to be accidental, so feel free to expose your case to find a resolution!
