I have a Samsung which still isn't fully paid out... My dad is giving me his old iPhone 4S so do I have to first pay out my Samsung before I can switch to the iPhone? And how do I swap phones but keep the same number? And it is a rogers iPhone.

Just pop your old sim into the Iphone 4S, if the sim is a different size you can purchase one for 10$, this way you keep your number, you would still be paying off the tab while using the iPhone if that makes sense. :)
Edit: the iPhone 4s would have to be unlocked

if you see a good answer, click the star! You're welcome :)
keep in mind the iPhone would have to be unlocked in case you didn't see that part.

If your father is still with Rogers, get it unlocked through Rogers. It's $50 that way versus $100+ otherwise.

Unlock the Rogers device and swap SIM's through Self Serve or if it is the same size simply swap the SIM from device to device.
