ended contract but still getting bill

I paid off the balance of what I owed on the phone to end the contract last month as I never use this phone and I was still sent a bill with a negative balance. Why would I get this bill?

Your best bet is to call customer service (1-866-99-KOODO (1-866-995-6636) or 647-788-4337) to get this resolved.

Was a a bill with negative balance? If yes, that actually means you have a credit. If it is the 'tab' portion that has the negative that you likely didn't pay the entire thing off. Did you actually call to cancel your service?
