Hi, I just set up a prepaid koodo account and put 15 dollar texting and 5 dollar talking on and it said it was successful however I can not send a text or even call koodo. It says emergency calls only?

Hi there Maggie... Sometimes it takes time for the service to be activated, but not too long, so let's start by turning off your phone, remove battery and Sim, and after a couple of seconds put everything back in and turn it on again... If this does not work, check your Self Service account to see if the status of the account says Active, if definitely the phone still not working, call Koodo from a Land line to 1-866-995-6636...

Also make sure that your phone isn't set to 2G only. What model of phone are you using?

what phone are you using?
If you can go into the settings and find mobile networks, try searching for network and select koodo.
Make sure the SIM is inserted properly.
If that fails, then log back into your account and make sure your IMEI and SIM # match y our account and that it says it is ACTIVE.
If that doesn't work, try visiting a KOODO SHOP location and they can try some troubleshooting and call into channel.
If you can't make it to a koodo shop, you can call Customer service at 1-866-995-6636, but it is a $5 charge for prepaid customers.

Calling Koodo Tech right off the bat would save some gas. I would never mention going to a Koodo Shop first when a 5 minute call can save a bunch of gas. Beyond sending a phone in for repair, I can't think of any logical reason to visit a Koodo Shop for any troubleshooting issues.

Hey Arika, calling our technical support is always free, for postpaid and prepaid customers. Please make sure to provide accurate info :) Thank you!
