I can load emails onto my phone but cannot reply - it says "sending cancelled. save in drafts?"

Also, if I access my email on the phone, I get locked out of my email on the computer. Called my email provider and they suggested turning off the phone and giving it a few minutes and it might come back to my computer. It does come back eventually but no rhyme or reason as to when.

What email do you use & what type of phone?
are you using the app for that or a built in or stock email app or online?

When setting up a 3rd party email on a koodo phone, make sure the incoming server and port matches what your provider gives you. You will have to ask them if you are not sure what it is.
For sending emails, generally, the outgoing server is smtp.telus.net or smtp.koodo.com with the outgoing port being 25.
If you have issues setting up email on the phone, by all means, give Koodo a call at *611 from the cell or 1-866-995-6636 by landline.
Hope this helps, even in the slightest

Make sure the server is configured right. You don't say which provider you're with. This link gives the right settings for several common providers: http://www.telusmobility.com/en/ON/Em...

server settings for both those providers should be automatically configured by the email setup utility on the blackberry. Using email on a blackberry, however, does require a BB data plan that provides general internet access. It won't work with unlimited bbm or bb social. It also won't work if you have no data plan and are accessing data through wifi.

The provider for your email, not the cellular service. Hotmail, Gmail, etc..

Hey Janine, what is your current rate plan & do you have a Blackberry Connect add-on?

I have the Canada-wide $45 dollar data plan and i have a long distance add-on. That's it. I saw something online that you need to have an email and internet add-on in order to set up internet.

I have a question, I am setting up my cogeco email and I have the POP set at pop.cogeco.net and SMTP as smtp.telus.net, now I can send and receive without issue while on my Mobile Data but as soon as WiFi is set I cannot send until I change it to smtp.cogeco.net then it works fine, is there a way to be able to send and receive regardless what connection is on?

Probably not with the default email app unless you're on an iphone. What you need is the ability to specify a secondary outgoing mail server when the default server is blocked by the network you're sending through.

Yes that is what I thought to but not sure which apps out there support it. I can use the webmail service just it would be nice to use the email app to save time. I will poke around the net and see what I can come up with, there has got to be a fix somewhere
