I am traveling from Edmonton to Vegas for a few days. I am on Canada wide data double 35 plan. Not to worried about calling but is it going to cost me extra to text. If so is there an add on.

Hi Lynn,

Koodo is now offering newer roaming packages that you can choose from as well they have a new roaming rate for texting which is $5 per 100 outgoing text messages with unlimited incoming text messages. The additional add ons that are available are on the following page:

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip :)

The $5 roaming rate isn't an add on unfortunately, it's just an additional charge for when you text when you're traveling internationally. If you text just once it will charge $5 to your account, but if someone texts you it will not charge since incoming messages are free when traveling to the states now. It used to be $0.60/message. The $10 feature you're referring to is an unlimited texting add-on for three days when you are travelling in the United States.
