Sup y'all. I'll be travelling to Europe for 3 weeks. The rates Koodo is offering for international is $12 a day. Since I'll be there for 3 weeks, it's safe to assume I'm going to max out at their $150 threshold? Just need some confirmation. Also, any other suggestions so I can save $$$? Thanks!

Yes $12 per 24 hr period to a max of $150 for your billing period. if your billing period happens to be while you are on vacation the max will reset.

Get a prepaid sim for where you are going. Yes you will get a different number but your costs will be much cheaper. Make sure your phone is unlocked so it will work wherever you are going. You can unlock it in your self serve account.

@Wil: Yes, as Mat mention above, $12/24hours - $150 limit is for one billing period.

About the saving: it is about your need. How often do you need to access data, and connect to other people?. If you could, bring another phone or use your current phone and put a local SIM and use it on that one. As receiving text while over sea is free, you might want to keep your Canadian number alive but don't use data and receive/make calls (you need to disable cellular data to make sure you don't incur easy-roam)

A prepaid sim when you arrive in Europe is your cheapest option.

When it references surcharge free zones like Europe, in the attached link, what does that mean? That you only need to buy one SIM card to cover Europe?

Yes.  I means there are no roaming fees for that region.  In this case Europe
