Does Easy Roam work on cruise ships that are at port? At least one other provider (Bell) confirms that their roaming cruise ship restrictions do not apply while at port.

If you're phone connect to a network while on port, then I don't see why there would be restrictions. It's as if you were walking near the port, no?

Just to wear belt and suspenders at the same time, I would manually see what networks are available while at sea without connecting. Landed in port, I would autoconnect but make sure service is not being provided by them.

I thought the cruise ships turned off their cellular network once land based cell services were available.

Makes sense; I hope that's the case. I've sent in a query to Koodo requesting confirmation. Thanks all, for the suggestions & comments.

Yes it's definitely the case. And again just check the network you're connected to. If its that of a local carrier, then you're good.

That's what I'm hoping is the case.
