Duplicating Songs

I have a Samsung S II x. I have 2200 songs on my SD card. My phone will, at random, duplicate songs; however, the duplicates aren't actual songs and will not play. For example, a song may be duplicated 4 times and only one of those songs will actually play. The others are just empty folders. This happens very randomly. I have gone in and deleted all the duplicate songs and no more duplicates were made for 2 weeks. Then one day, the number rose from 2200 to almost 10000 within 1/2 hour. Any suggestions???? Pleeeease!! :(

This happens to me too. I have ringtones Library on sd. I think it happens when the s2 tries to mount the sd on boot. Every now and then i have to go back in and reset my ringtones. And wheni look they are doubled. It's always been a minor annoyance to me but If I had 2000 songs that would be a major problem. Thank goodness for talk radio.

That's my dream job is operating a talk radio station with no limits on the conversation topics and a very relaxed censoring setup.

Happened once to me on the same phone, I resolved it with a power cycle... I guess probably un-mount the SD card and then mount it again should work.
