A missed bill because of a missed texted message goes to collections for a small bill amount.  Discrediting good credit of individuals.  I understand if it is a high bill and late for many days but for a small amount of 300 is a joke.  By sending this to collections and destroying credit of an individual is bad business.  Because of terrible service text messages and phone calls are dropped and missed on a regular bases.  I have called many times about the service issues and nothing is ever done.  And now because of this horrific service you want to destroy my good credit.  I made a call and asked if my bill was up to date and was told yes but still this little amount of a late payment NOT A MISSED OR NEGLECTED payment still stays as a status to say I have not paid my bill, which is not a true allegation!!!!!

How did you get one bill up to 300 dollars? That's doesn't sound like a small bill. Did you not log in online to see your bill?

Hi Angela,

It's my understanding that accounts don't go to collections for at least six weeks. Text messages cannot be relied upon, Koodo mentions this in their legalese. In fact, all providers mention that they cannot guarantee service 100% of the time. There are other tools that you can use to check if a payment has gone through or not and it is your responsibility to ensure that payment is made. $300 is a substantial amount of money, in my opinion.

If you feel you've been treated unfairly, you can launch a complaint with the CCTS. If you feel the statement made on your credit report is inaccurate, you'll have to contact one of the credit reporting agencies to get this record absolved.

A $300.00 bill and no Koodo Services for 6 weeks, (which is how long it takes to go to collections)?

. Koodo calls you and sends you tons of text messages prior to disconnection. I've been there when my income was less than my bills. They hound you. With messages that they need to speak with you regarding your account.
