Double Canada wide plans issue

So I signed up for the 45$ canada wide data plan last month, this billing cycle is only for this plan.

I've had some confusing events which I'm not sure what to make of.
2 days ago I got a notification stating I had use 75% of my data. Think this was odd since I know I hadn't used 750mb so far this cycle, I check self serve which shows I've only used 400MB of 1524MB.

Ok so the notification was wrong, likely sent out from the previous limit of 500MB. but how did I get the extra 500MB(1524MB instead of the 1GB)?

I'm not complaining if Koodo wants to give me a extra 500MB a month, but I don't need to get charged for it. Which I'm not sure if this will happen yet as billing cycle still has a few day left.

Anyone else have this oddity of a possible explanation ?

Oh and I have 2 lines on the same plan and both are showing the 1.5GB, not sure if the 2nd line got a notification for getting close to the limit though.

sounds like the plan was switched mid billing cycle. Data doesn't get prorated so you would have 500 MB under the old plan and 1 GB (1024 MB) under the doubled version for a total of 1524 MB.
