Don't want a data plan and never had agreed to one

I have a plan that never included data now all of a sudden it appears without my consent I want it removed, Voice and Text only is what I have and that's it

Think you can have them put a data block on account for like $2/month.

I'm pretty sure that even when you don't explicitly choose a data plan, unless you add the data block option for $2/month, you automatically have access to pay-as-you-go data.  If you want to guarantee you won't get any data or any unexpected data charges, you may want to look at Koodo and Telus' sister brand Public Mobile.  Their plans are all pre-paid, and you can choose a talk and text only plan with no data and no surprises.  (With their pre-paid, you literally get only what you pay for explicitly and up front and nothing else.)  Food for thought, anyway.

Touché srlawren another advantage with PM is their text plans also include MMS if you send/receive picture messages. If Koodo adds a data block on account my understanding it will also disable MMS capability.

For FYI the data block explicitly states except for MMS so you still have that capability.

"Ray, the only thing that has changed is how much you pay for data overage. You still have no data included in your plan. Before November you paid $0.75 up to 256kb of overage data. Now you pay the same but for much more data, up to 10mb. You will also now receive notification at 50% and 90% of use, which you didn't before. It's all part of our shock-free-data promise.  You were communicated this via SMS last year. Hope this helps!"

@Rayhaw, you are on an older plan of $15  month. As per the other thread, while data is not included it is always there as a pay-per-use service. Can be blocked via your phone or if you wish to have done at network level you can purchase the feature at $2 a month. The alternative, as you mentioned is to go with a prepaid service.
