I have the $30 monthly plan but no data. I can't receive text pics so looked for some help. I read in the community help that data block must be turned off to receive pics. So I turned off data block but still can't receive pics. Can you help?

Even with your data block removed you still have to enable data in your settings. Dont worry you wont be charged for using data if you are just gonna send mms (picture message) however make sure that other apps do not automatically update in the background when you enable data. A good way is to set up apps so they update under wifi only :)

Your data has to be turned on your phone. You won't get charged for data used to send/receive MMS but you have to make sure you have all of your apps (and OS features) set to WiFi only because you will be charged for any data that they use.

Yes, because imessage is a messenger that requires access to the internet.

Yes. iMessage is not part of any unlimited messaging feature Koodo offers. There would be very small data charges if you are on a pay-per-use data plan.

Imessage = Blue
Text Message = Green.

Anyone who does not have an Iphone, will send a text message. Anyone who has an Iphone, will send an Imessage, unless they have it set up to send as a text message if Imessage isn't available.

I don't know if you can disable data for all your apps but considering you have an iPhone read this :
