As the title implies, are those frequencies supported?

How come my international cellphone won't detect my micro sim then if it does support 850? It's able to read my regular sized sim card, but for reason not my micro sim >.<

So are you saying that your phone has 2 SIM slots and one takes a regular SIM Card and a second SIM Slot that takes a Micro SIM Card?

Because you may be in an area with 1900 band coverage only. I don't recommend using a phone that only has one of the two HSPA bands used by Koodo.

It is a dual sim, but each sim slot is able to read either a regular sized sim or micro sim. Problem is that when i use a micro sim, the phone won't even detect it, saying that there's no sim inserted. It does detect my friend's microsim though and he's from rogers.

The frequency bands supported by the phone have nothing to do with whether it detects the sim card, only whether it detects the network.

Most dual sim phones I have seen only support 3G service on one of the two sim card slots. The other is typically 2G only.
