If you use iMessage over WiFi, you will not use your data/incur data charges.

Hello Carley.

Everything said up here is true!

So my suggestion is for you to disable iMessage if you don't have any data plan by going to genreal>message

If you DO have data indeed, then you shouldn't worry about how much data is iMessage using becasue it's peanuts!

If you are connected to Internet via wifi and sending to another iMessage user, then you are not using any cellular data, you are using the Internet.

It gets more complicated.

If you use iMessage how much data does that take.

It is really hard to actually tell, but less than browsing. Maybe 1MB would be around 100-200 messages
